c’est la stepha is inspired by the famous French saying, “c’est a vie” and everything I love about life. This blog is a resource for anyone lusting to travel the world, dreaming/planning the perfect wedding, finding delight in a great lipstick or joy in the every day.

I’ll share my personal travel, wedding planning, beauty and life experiences so you can learn from both my successes and mistakes (so you don’t make these same mistakes yourself!). I look forward to learning and growing with you together!

C’est moi, Steph Ha!

Born and raised in New York, the fast-paced city hustle was always my jam. As a devastated teenage girl, my father switched jobs requiring my family to move to the edges of the U.S. every few years. I slowly but surely adjusted to Friday Night Lights-esque small towns and even the happy-go-lucky aloha island life. This is when my nomadic love for travel blossomed. Since then, I’ve traveled near and far eating my way through destinations like New Orleans and Dubai. The local people and foods are my absolute favorite parts of traveling; luxury resort Sunday brunches are my travel Kryptonite!

A second-generation Korean-American, I credit my knowledge and passion for beauty to my mother, her five sisters and many cousins. Conversations in my family often revolve around well-being, passing down random k-beauty knowledge and receiving fad-like gifts (i.e. a butt-shaping seat cushion that my American butt overflows out of). Oh, and food! Which is also where my love for eating comes from.

A recent newlywed, my year-and-a-half long engagement to my college sweetheart was both the best and worst time of my life. Not being the type of girl with a pre-planned wedding Pinterest board, I had to start from scratch. Luckily, as a full-time project manager engaged to a program manager, having a passion for design/events and an amazing friends to help me, I seamlessly planned a destination wedding with agile project management methodologies. #imahugenerd

Today, I’m a twenty-something millennial living in downtown Seattle with my husband and our English Golden Retriever puppy, Sadie (@sadieagoldie). By day, I’m a digital marketer at an ad agency with experience managing large-scale email/digital programs for brands such as Microsoft, Pfizer and AT&T. I’m passionate about understanding the psychology of consumer behavior to be a better marketer. I seek every day bliss in a frothy cappuccino, trips to the dog park, Sunday night face masks, stupid funny Reddit posts, beautiful Pike Place Market flower bouquets and a good New York slice of pizza.
